- Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock and anticipating upcoming needs
- Keeps equipment functioning by following operating instructions; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance
