    Description
    Operates high volume color, B&W, duplicating and scanning equipment. Performs associated copying tasks. Operates wide format plotters. Ships and receives product and supplies. Handles incoming and outgoing emails as necessary. Maintains supply and consumables inventory. Provides basic maintenance of site equipment. Performs bindery and finishing. Performs quality control and final check of deliverables. Maintains file services and housekeeping of work area

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Run high volume digital print production machines and perform binding and finishing work.
    • Operate high volume scanners.
    • Operate image handling software
    • Operate MS Office and email systems
    • Ensure digital print production machines are working properly, checking for quality via daily maintenance and inspections. Clear paper jams and inform technician of specific problems.
    • Maintain records for management reports and inventories of supplies needed.
    • Distribute office supplies and mail to company personnel and/or designated drop-off points as required.
    • Calculates charges for jobs performed and maintain billing logs.
    • Respond to and coordinate all service calls required by customer.
    • May perform filing duties in conjunction with specific customer requests.
    • Deliver completed jobs to pre-determined customer locations within and outside of the site.
    • Maintain daily meter and service logs.
    • May travel between customer's buildings.
    • Answers customer questions regarding status or feasibility of job requests.
    • Ensure upkeep of production and storage areas by keeping neat and well stocked.
    • Perform duties related to the shipping and/or receiving of materials.
    • Use shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, paper drill, bindery equipment, jogger, tape machine, stackers, electric stapler and scales in completion of various jobs contracted
    • Perform filing duties, which may include 'purging' and archiving old documents and/or files.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • High school diploma. Associate degree in related field preferred.
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience operating digital copy machines.
    • Experience in the operation of modern graphic arts equipment used in copying, typesetting using current computer programs.
    • Must be able to demonstrate competency in basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Good knowledge and interest in print production.
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with Document Center staff and department users.
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision within a team structure.
    • Ability to organize/prioritize workload and possess quick decision making skills in order to withstand a high-pressure environment.
    • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the operation of the department in order to provide the best possible solution to our customers.
    • Must have good working knowledge of Desktop Publishing including networking, digital print solutions including technical solutions of print requirements.
    • Must possess mechanical ability and knowledge required to operate all Document Center bindery and finishing equipment. It is imperative that troubleshooting skills are available and applied in order to overcome any technical difficulties that may occur
