    Roofing Estimator

    Tampa, FL

    $80,000 - $120,000 (Depending on Assessment) + Bonus

    Company Overview:

    McCormack Partners are working with a well-established commercial roofing contractor based in the Tampa region that has been established since 1986. With a specialization in TPO, PVC, Built-up systems, and modified bitumen, they have further set themselves apart from the competition by manufacturing their own sheet metal flashings and other components. The company prides itself not only on an excellent working environment but also on the quality of its products, both manufactured and in workmanship.

    With a turnover of around $15,000,000 and focused growth plans, they predominantly operate in the re-roofing sector, accounting for 80% of their operations. Their project value can range anywhere from $50,000 to a significant $5,000,000.

    For this Sales Estimator role, a deep familiarity with Tampa's building code regulations and client base is essential.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
    • Present estimates and conduct cost-benefit analyses for clients.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and the competitive landscape.
    • Collaborate with contractors, architects, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Adjust and refine estimates, considering raw material costs, production times, and labor expenses.
    • Track and report on any changes that can affect costs and recommend budget adjustments.

    Key Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5 years in a commercial roofing estimator role.
    • Familiarity with TPO, PVC, Built-up systems, and modified bitumen.
    • In-depth knowledge of Tampa's building code regulations.
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in relevant estimating software.
