ResponsibilitiesAssess clients' condition during every visit and track any observationsTake and record measurements of vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etcAdminister medication as prescribed by the client's physicianDress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healingContinuously educate clients, their families and other caregivers on proper home health care strategies and proceduresProvide palliative care as needed to keep the client comfortableMake recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the client's quality of lifeListen to clients and be prepared to respond to concerns or requestsQualificationsBachelor's degree in nursing; current nursing license in the state of NYCurrent CPR Certification; Access to reliable transportationAbility to work independently and with directionsCompassionate and friendly demeanorExperience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track client care activity
