Location: Washington, DC

OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to provide support for critical business functions through the development, implementation, testing and maintenance of applications systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The position's essential duties include the following:
· Support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and systems;
· Lead and Contribute software development expertise to multiple projects and ensure that specifications are met;
· Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications;
· Follow established software development standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement;
· Develop complex application features and create technical designs;
· Work as part of Scrum Development Team and/or as Scrum Master, effectively participate in sprint planning, task estimates, task sequencing, task assignments, sprint reviews and retrospectives
· Participate in peer code and design reviews;
· Experienced with a wide range of technologies;
· Coordinate with departments and users in the support of business applications.
· Represent the IT department in terms of software development expertise in coordination with other departments;

• Experience with agile software development such as SCRUM and XP, strongly desired.
• Experience with SharePoint2010 development, configuration, out-of-the-box- functionality, administration.
• Experience with Business Workflow Automation with SharePoint or other BPM products.
• Experience with PL/SQL, J2EE, SOAP, Visual Basic, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, Dreamweaver
• Experience with integration of application software
• Experience with implementation of COTS products
• Experience with Serena Business Mashups or any other Serena software
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Services
• Experience with configuration management, release management principles
• TFS ALM
• BPM development in SharePoint
