This is a non-supervisory leadership role that provides nursing expertise as a member of the Crater District Communicable Disease Team and will be eligible for one (1) day a week telework after successfully completing a 6-month on the job training at the supervisor's discretion.
Will be the subject matter expert that provides guidance and recommendation per CDC on infection control polices to stakeholders and community partners.
This position works closely with the district Epidemiology and Environmental Health team and will rotate on-call duties in response to reportable illnesses and diseases.
Must have the ability to conduct presentations to the public or other stakeholders on health-related topics. Will support other nursing programs, as needed.Crater Health District comprises the Cities of Hopewell, Emporia and Petersburg, as well as the Counties of Sussex, Greensville, Surry, Prince George and Dinwiddie.
Travel within the above-mentioned localities to provide services as required.Requires unrestricted licensure as an RN in Virginia or compact state. Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR.
