Meade, MD.PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The DES program supports a highly demanding mission and requires support from top technical and management talent to migrate common IT services for over twenty DoD agencies under a common platform.
You will play a key role in performing the discovery, design, and migration tasks in support of building a world-class Single Service Provider for the Department of Defense.
This role will lead a cross-functional technical team to support the discovery analysis and design activities required to migrate common IT services from over twenty large-scale DoD agencies into DoDNet.
Leidos needs the best talent in the industry to accommodate the size, scope, and complexity of this effort. A successful candidate will be technically well-rounded, producing quality work with special attention to the right details.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a senior engineer/technical SME, leading a group of specialists in infrastructure discovery and the development of architecture, design, and migration plansProvide hands-on engineering and technical leadership for overall migration planning and implementation tasksDesign Architecture and
Technical Documentation:
Spearhead the creation and development of intricate system designs for IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practicesOversee and coordinate migration planning activities while monitoring and managing risksPerform analysis and decomposition of system and subsystem requirements, and lead development of architecture and design documentsManage and oversee development of infrastructure discovery efforts and migration plansProvide regular migration updates to Government leadership; identify risks, dependencies, and propose mitigation activities to deliver migrations on schedule and within budget.
Staff migration teams with individuals certified in a standardized migration approach that maintains a mission-first focus that minimizes risksWork across team members to document migration lessons learned for continual improvement of future migration activitiesIdentify automation opportunities for staff reductions and improved service deliveryBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant work experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Highly motivated individual with leadership skills and exemplary communication skillsExperience with discovery, event management and ITSM tools.
In-depth understanding of cloud and network topologies, both transport and IP.Customer focused, formulates plans based on the development of innovative new designs in resolving advanced technical engineering problemsAbility to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executivesExperience presenting technology solutions to small and large audiences.
Highly organized with strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skillsStrong Leadership experience including leading diverse teamsRequire active DoD IAT Level II (i.e., Security+) certification or equivalent prior to startPREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS:
Consulting firm experience.
Familiarization of DISA, DOD regulations, and directives.
Large-Scale End User Device management and Network Capacity Management experienceExperience with design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft technologies and network infrastructure solutions, with a focus on Microsoft AD FS, Intune, Desktop as a Service(DaaS), remote VPN, DHCP, and DNS technologies.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122, $220,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
