Heart Monitoring, Observation, General Medical/Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, Medical Psychiatry, or Palliative/Hospice, each one has their own unique requirement of care. Our 39 bed unit provides the individualize plan each patient needs to return to a pre-hospitalization state or as close as to be expected. You will get the experience to be part of a collaborative medical team that discusses what the best is for the patient. Our RN ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 based on acuity. JOB DESCRIPTION The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse (RN) is a member of the Patient Care Services Team, and is responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team.
The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members including ancillary and support services.
