    Description

    Job Description:
    This role will be responsible for leading certification & homologation activities within its North American technical facilities.

    The responsible individual will work within a team environment to support vehicles for North America and other markets exported from U.S.

    & Mexico assembly plants. The individual will research and review vehicle regulations, and develop and implement homologation plans to achieve on-time certification.

    Job Responsibilities:
    Establish & communicate homologation schedule to secure on-time design release and test reports;

    Prepare regulatory application documents by gathering design specifications & reports;

    Support assembly plants & test facilities/labs for Conformity of Production (COP) audits

    Identify regulatory requirements for a given market & program;

    Coordinate with third party witness agencies to conduct test

    Ability to research and interpret regulatory requirements and explain to design & test engineers; Report homologation status to program management teams and executives

    Develop & implement homologation plans to meet on-time production launch


    Activities include:
    Submit application documents to regulatory bodies to secure compliance & certification.


    Job Requirements:
    Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete job

    Up to 10-20% travel may be required both domestic and international

    Five or more years of directly related professional-level engineering experience

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline

    Homologation experience preferred for any of the following markets: USA/Canada (FMVSS/CMVSS), Russia, Taiwan, Australia and GCC

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word is a must. Working knowledge of databases with the ability to learn Nissan specific customized databases
