    Prefer 1 year of med-surg nursing; chemo certified is preferred.

    Must have experience administering chemo and antineoplastic drugs.

    Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc).

    General job duties. Types of procedures required.

    2E Onc is a 24 bed, all private room unit serving the oncology patient population. Patients are admitted to receive chemotherapy, and care after chemotherapy, radiaiton or surgical intervention. Patients also receive frequent blood transfusions. Patients may also require care of chest tubes, drains and dressings. The unit also receives medical overflow patients.

    Patients have pain medication regimen and can have PCAs or narcotic drips for pain control along with IV push medications.

    We are a fast paced unit serving adult to geriatric patients.
