    Position Summary
    The Assistant Director of Public Safety is responsible for assisting the Director of Public Safety and Security in maintaining the safety of all stakeholders of

    Aventura Mall.


    Incumbent oversees operational duties of third party vendor and handles the day to day operations of JSOC (Joint Security Operational Center) and CCTV Systems.

    Additionally, they maintain Aventura Mall's training and drill program and implements procedures such as fire prevention, traffic control, and mall patrol/guard.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Responsible for the day to day operation of JSOC (Joint Security Operations Center) and CCTV
    Provide oversight of Third Party Service provider to ensure performance meets contract standards and requirements
    Prepares and evaluates safety drills - Maintain lost and found program
    Monitor and maintain Code Red System and/or any new systems or programs
    Maintain and update emergency response manual on a quarterly basis
    Evaluate performance of contracted vendors - Assist director with invoicing and necessary paperwork
    Assist with obtaining information for litigation
    Ensure safety of all Mall stakeholders through safety drills
    Evaluate quality of service from third party vendor
    Provide informal guidance and support to team members
    Makes recommendations on latest security and safety trends and equipment
    Make recommendations to Director of Safety and Security and security vendor on personnel performance and corrective action
    Resolve complaints and grievances with approval from manager
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree
    Prior Military Service experience preferred
    4-7 years; CCTV
    Knowledge and understanding of latest security systems and technology
    Valid Driver's license
    Effective Communication
    Strong problem solving and organizational skills
    Crowd Management License
