    Location: Position is remote however Northern California is preferred

    Salary Range: $150k-$180K/yr

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a strategic and visionary Director of Product to lead our product management efforts across both technology products and print materials. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the education technology landscape and literacy pedagogy, coupled with a proven track record of success in product leadership roles within the edtech industry. As Director of Product, you will be responsible for defining the product vision, driving innovation, and overseeing the development and execution of our product roadmap to meet the evolving needs of educators, students, and stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Define and articulate the product vision and strategy for our literacy solutions, encompassing both technology-driven products and print materials, in alignment with the company's overall mission and objectives.
    2. Lead cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, design, content development, and marketing, to conceptualize, develop, and launch new products and enhancements that address market needs and drive business growth.
    3. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify market trends, opportunities, and user insights that inform product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
    4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including educators, school administrators, district leaders, and industry partners, to gather requirements, validate product concepts, and solicit feedback throughout the product life cycle.
    5. Drive the development and execution of product launch plans, go-to-market strategies, and marketing campaigns to drive awareness, adoption, and customer engagement.
    6. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and analytics to evaluate product performance, track user engagement, and measure the impact of product initiatives on literacy outcomes.
    7. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product team, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities.
    8. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and pedagogical practices in the literacy and edtech industries, and apply insights to inform product development priorities and roadmap decisions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in product management or related roles, with a focus on education technology, literacy solutions, or educational publishing.
    • Proven track record of success in leading cross-functional product teams, driving product strategy, and delivering innovative, market-leading products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
    • Deep understanding of literacy pedagogy, curriculum standards, and best practices in reading instruction, with the ability to translate educational research and theory into actionable product requirements.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Experience managing both technology products (e.g., digital learning platforms, educational apps) and print materials (e.g., textbooks, instructional materials) is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation, agility, and customer-centricity.
