- Prepares weekly and biweekly payroll. Maintains accurate attendance, lateness and sick time records of all cardiology staff.
- Prepares purchase requests and follows up with purchasing department.
- Maintains office inventory. Orders supplies as needed.
- Monitors cardiology on-call schedules. Alerts physicians of on-call status. Reports scheduling conflicts. Relays schedules to appropriate departments.
- Performs complex secretarial duties for the department Chief, Attending Physicians, Division Manager and Fellows. This includes but is not limited to manuscript preparation, graphic presentations, and professional correspondence
- Maintains physician schedules. Handles confidential documents. Schedules meetings.
- Answers phones. Relays messages. Resolves problems/conflicts or relays to appropriate staff members.
- High school graduate with additional medical assistant or medical secretary coursework. College graduate strongly preferred.
- 3 years medical office experience.
