    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a SC or compact RN license and at least two years of Med/Surg experience.

    Responsibilities
    Work in a hospital Medical/Surgical unit
    12-hour day shifts, three shifts per week for a 13-week assignment
    Role focused on providing competent and efficient patient care
    Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
    No local candidates within a 100-mile radius are eligible
    Responsible for conducting initial and ongoing patient assessments and documenting appropriately
    Delivers age-appropriate care applying knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan
    Completes admission assessments according to policy and procedure guidelines
    Adapts care based on patient needs and demonstrates understanding of treatment requirements
    Two manager or supervisor references from the last twelve months are preferred
    COVID and flu vaccinations may be required as part of onboarding
    No prior permanent employment with the facility is allowed
    First-time travelers are welcome to apply

    Requirements
    Active SC or compact RN license is required at the time of consideration
    Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience in a U.S. hospital required
    Minimum of 2 years total RN experience required
    Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only) are required
    CPI certification (Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training) is required
    Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program is required
    BSN is highly desired but not required
    Must have valid U.S. Social Security Number
