    Impact TeamLocation: Baltimore based; 75% travelCompensation: $20 per hourDuration: May 20- Aug ABOUT BREAK A DIFFERENCE Break A Differences (BAD) mission is to strategically engage individuals and institutions through service to make positive impacts in communities and in those who serve.

    As a nonprofit, we accomplish this by engaging corporations in large-scale service projects, preparing skilled leaders to serve on nonprofit boards, expanding the volunteer service capacity for nonprofits, and partnering with organizations to engage college students in week-long immersive service trips, otherwise known as Alternative Breaks.

    As a Baltimore-based nonprofit, were excited to make positive impacts in Baltimore and across the country.

    POSITION SUMMARY Volunteer Coordinators (VCs) support single or multi-day volunteer events, ensuring that volunteers have a positive experience while delivering a meaningful impact in the community.

    Volunteer Coordinators must be able to collaborate in addition to completing individual tasks assigned. The scope of work varies significantly because our service projects are designed case-by-case based on our clients needs. Therefore, VCs must be adaptable to various working environments. Full engagement and support of these projects, regardless of individual duties are essential to service event success.

    Although Volunteer Coordinators work together as a team, you will be assigned a specialty role based on your skill set.

    Corporate Engagement (Lead / Support)Provide service project leadership and guidance; Ability to engage and motivate groups of volunteers; Strong organizational and communication skills and detail-orientedness are essential.

    TransportTransport supplies to and from service projects; Comfortable driving and parking a cargo van/box truck in metropolitan areas; Ability to lift 35+ lbs and pack and unload vehicles.

    ConstructionLead demolitions, monitor safety procedures, demonstrate and oversee general carpentry and power tool usage, and encourage and support volunteers.

    OperationsOnsite Nonprofit assistance at our Baltimore warehouse office; Ability to lift heavy materials, organize supplies, and proficiency in Google Suite are desired.


    Required Travel:
    This position requires weekly travel via air and ground. Successful applicants will be issued a company credit card to cover all travel-related expenses. A per-dium rate can be negotiated upon an applicant's request.
