    THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Senior Training Specialist/Training Program Manager to support an upcoming professional support services contract for the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, VA. The candidate will lead a Workforce Development (WFD) team focused on U.S. Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization.

    The candidate's responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing, supporting, or overseeing the following actions:
    • Act as Workforce Development (WFD) Manager.
    • Coordinate with management, Senior Technical Instructor, Lead Curriculum Authority (LCA), and Course Scheduler personnel to manage all aspects of the WFD team.
    Security Clearance Requirements:
    • Must possess an active DoD SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment.
    Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
    • High school diploma/GED equivalent, OR relevant technical diploma/certification, OR relevant military "A" or "C" school diploma/certification.
    • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of recent, relevant professional experience obtained in or supporting the U.S. Navy with Integrated Project Team Development or as an IPT Facilitator. Experience should include:
      • Development of Curriculum and Interactive Course Materials
      • Adobe Media Suite/Captivate
      • Navy Surface Ship Repair, Modernization
      • COMUSFLTFORCOM INST
      • Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
      • Navy Maintenance Database (NMD);
      • NAVSEA Contracting Policy/Strategy
      • Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Project Team Roles/ Responsibilities
      • NAVSEA Standard Items (NSI)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with common productivity software including Microsoft Office.
    Travel Requirements:
    • This position may involve periodic travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations including: San Diego, CA; Mayport, FL; Everett, WA; Honolulu, HI; and Arlington, VA.

    • This position's essential functions typically include (but are not limited to): typing, hearing, talking, vision.
