    We are currently seeking a Siemens Automation Engineer with expertise in Building Management Systems (BMS) to join our client's team for an exciting project in Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing Siemens Desigo software to control and monitor building systems, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

    Responsibilities:

    • System Implementation: Lead the implementation of Siemens Desigo software for building automation, including configuration, programming, and integration with other systems such as HVAC, lighting, and security.
    • Onsite Support: Spend the initial three months onsite in Columbus, Ohio, to oversee the installation and commissioning of Siemens automation systems. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during this critical phase of the project.
    • Remote Support: After the initial onsite period, transition to a remote support role, providing ongoing assistance and maintenance for the Siemens automation systems. Collaborate with onsite teams and contractors as needed to address any issues or optimizations.
    • System Translation: Work closely with stakeholders to translate project requirements into Siemens Desigo software configurations. Customize graphics, user interfaces, and logic to meet the specific needs of the facility.
    • Integration with PLCs and DCSs: Interface with Siemens PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCSs (Distributed Control Systems) to ensure seamless communication and coordination between building systems. Develop and implement protocols for data exchange and control strategies.
    • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation, including system design specifications, user manuals, and training materials. Conduct training sessions for facility operators and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of Siemens automation systems.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to building automation and energy management. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimizations to improve performance and efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 5-7 years of experience working with Siemens building automation systems, with a focus on Desigo software.
    • Proficiency in Siemens PLC programming and DCS configuration, with a strong understanding of automation protocols and communication interfaces.
    • Experience with Siemens graphics tools and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design, including the ability to create intuitive user interfaces for building operators.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with Siemens automation systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Flexibility to travel onsite for the initial project phase and transition to a remote support role afterward.
    • Passion for sustainability and energy efficiency, with a commitment to optimizing building systems for environmental performance.
