Job description
Malace|HR is seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join our team. The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components in a commercial and industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, load centers, and distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components up to and including 480 VAC 3-phase systems.
- Maintain electrical wiring systems and components in compliance with the National Electrical Code and industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures and identify necessary repairs.
- Inspect, test, and evaluate electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatus and equipment.
- Operate and use required tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Plan layouts and wiring for new or existing installations.
- Fabricate electrical parts and inspect completed work for compliance with specifications and safety codes.
- Provide updates and status reports to supervisors and team members.
- Clean, maintain, and service tools and equipment.
- Respond safely and effectively to emergency situations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- Minimum of 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, methods, materials, tools, and systems used in the trade.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to operate a bucket truck (preferred).
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (preferred).
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Full-time position with a 90-day probationary period.
- Work may require exposure to outdoor environments and inclement weather.
- Role involves standing for prolonged periods, walking, lifting, carrying, kneeling, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, and balancing.
- Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment requiring attention to detail and adaptability.
