About the Financial Analyst Position
The Financial Analyst supports the organization's financial planning, reporting, and analysis efforts by providing timely, accurate, and actionable insights to management. This role is responsible for analyzing key financial performance drivers, including revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), gross profit, and labor-related costs (wages and contract labor), and comparing results against budget and forecasts. The Financial Analyst partners closely with Accounting and cross-functional teams to support budgeting, monthly close, and ongoing business decision-making.

What You'll Do
- Perform financial and operational analysis, including revenue, COGS, gross profit, and labor (wages and contract labor), and compare results to budget and forecast.
- Prepare variance analyses and clearly summarize key drivers, trends, and insights for management.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with Finance and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain recurring management reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including consolidated billing support, journal entry support, and account reconciliations.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, including cost-benefit and ROI analysis for business initiatives.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement within financial and operational data.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Partner with Accounting and operational teams to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and financial visibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify key drivers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling.
- Ability to clearly communicate financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Working knowledge of general ledger systems and financial reporting processes (e.g., month-end close, reconciliations).
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems preferred.
