- Build a learning experience where exploration, creativity and nurturing are key
- Promote spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in their care.
- Work as a team in classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus follow all regulatory guidelines and company standards to ensure a safe environment for every child.
- Build relationships, partner and professionally communicate with enrolled and prospective families to further their child's success.
- Write lesson plans based on High Scope Curriculum
- Plan age-appropriate activities to creatively engage children
- Communicate professionally with parents through informal discussions, daily review, parent/teacher conferences
- Lead by example, encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans from a curriculum, a plus
- CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field, is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to meet state requirements for education
- Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
- Strong Christian character which includes regular disciplines such as Bible reading, prayer and participates in church life
- Attend staff meetings and complete a minimum of 20 hours of professional development per year
