Description

Production Planning and Scheduling Supervisor

This role offers a fast track to a Supply Chain Manager position by 2025.

EMS-Chemie manufactures and distributes polymers and other chemicals, used in various products you encounter daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction for the PPS function and implement processes to improve performance.
Monitor forecasts and customer patterns to ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with Operations, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service to execute strategic planning strategies.

Job Duties:

Manage personnel effectively and provide on-the-job training.
Plan Polymerization schedules based on Compounding needs and optimize Compounding schedules.
Ensure raw materials are stocked and production is not interrupted due to missing materials.
Closely work with procurement to negotiate pricing and find new suppliers.
Capture and analyze data to inform business decisions.
Make informed decisions regarding local or imported production for new projects.
Maintain effective communication with departments, customers, management, and others about changes, issues, or delays.
Control inventory levels of produced and inter-company finished goods to achieve on-time delivery metrics.
Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to ensure on-time deliveries.
Sell scrap/broker material regularly and explore new customers in case of supplier changes.
Develop and update procedures, processes, and work instructions annually to support audits and ensure accuracy.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or General Business or equivalent work experience of 3-5 years.

Must have previous experience managing people and teams.
