Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join an AEROSPACE finance company. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:
leading and supervising the Offshore AP Specialist.
Process payments, both check and electronically.
Perform Account Reconciliations, Journal Entries and financial reporting
MOBILITY TO MOVE UP
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process journal entries and reconciliations monthly
Responsible for analysis of inventory and fixed assets
Hold monthly meetings for fixed assets to track project progress and hold responsible parties accountable
Monitor cycle count progress
Explain monthly variances
Provide monthly reporting packages for internal stakeholders
Ability to learn and enforce company-specific policies
Process and oversee electronic payments and distribution checks
Continuing to improve the payment process by increasing ACH adoption
Prepare audit requests
Submit quarterly information requests to corporate
Check payroll information for accuracy
Coordinate 1099 distribution
Able to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
Communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Willing to work weekends as needed
Ad hoc requests
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
Confidentiality is a must
Prefer three to five years' experience in accounting
Must have strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and
Onstream, Exact Max, Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics, Expensify and Blackline
Organization, attention to detail, sense of urgency
Involves extensive internal and external customer communication
Must be able to make independent decisions on routine office activities
Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction.
