    Description

    At Veo, we're pushing the envelope on the design of safety-rated sensors for use with industrial robotic systems. We are looking for an innovative and self-driven Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in FPGA design related to sensor data processing and sensor calibration to help create and refine our novel safety-critical 3D time-of-flight sensing system. In close collaboration with the rest of our hardware team, you'll develop state-of-the art FPGA depth image processing and python-based calibration routines with a rigorous approach to noise analysis and reliability.

    You will:

    • Design, set up, and run experiments to quantify 3D sensor performance and drive hardware design
    • Architect and implement algorithms for high reliability sensing
    • Design and implement real time FPGA based logic
    • Design and maintain verification environments
    • Run and analyze full chip level tests

    You are:

    • An electrical engineer with 7+ years of professional experience with ASIC / FPGA design
    • Experienced in all aspects of logic design - architecture, design, simulation, P&R, timing closure
    • Methodical in your approach to experimentation and analysis
    • Highly collaborative, and excited to work with a multidisciplinary team
    • A first-principles thinker who loves to tackle challenging technical problems

    Bonus points:

    • Experience with 3D sensors, computer vision, machine vision, or industrial automation
    • Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices/ISO 13485 or functional safety/IEC 61508/ISO 13849, DO-178C/DO-254 or IEC 26262
    • Experience with Quartus tools for FPGA development
    • Experience with Questa verification tools
