    Description


    Yeh and Associates, Inc., Construction Services Department is looking for several experienced Materials Technician to assist professional engineers or geologists in the practical application of engineering or scientific processes and techniques on infrastructure projects.

    You will obtain soil, concrete, and asphalt samples from various sources following standard procedures for specific testing to evaluate whether the materials are suitable for the intended use.

    Experience Materials Technicians will represent the owner to verify that the contractor is performing quality work in accordance with project plans.

    A friendly demeaner and desire to work together as a team to accomplish a common goal are a must.
    Work environmentWorking in all types of terrain, weather conditions, and through various stages of construction.
    Loud noise levelsStrong adherence to safetyAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

    Frequent use and transportation of nuclear gauge Requirements Minimum of 3 to 5 years specific testing experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic highway math, surveying, and plan readingA comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of construction materials testingPrepare detailed and accurate field reports on daily basisValid driver's license and clean driving recordSelf-motivated, with strong technical problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and communication skillsAbility to contribute and work well as part of a teamAbility to evaluate technical documents such as construction plans and specificationAbility to travel for extended periods of time for the duration of the project(s)Certifications in three or more of the following areas, strongly preferredACI FieldACI StrengthNuclear Density Gauge CertificationCAPA Asphalt Certification, Marshall and Gyratory experience a plusCDOT BasicsCDOT Inspector CertificationTraffic Control SupervisorTransportation Erosion Control SupervisorWAQTC Soils and Embankment CertificationExperience preferenceRelated experience on construction projectsColorado Department of TransportationOther State Department of TransportationFederal Aviation AdministrationBenefitsOvertime pay is available.

    When travel is required, travel expenses including lodging and per diem allowance are provided. We supply our inspectors with a company vehicle, equipment, and tools. Health insurance, 401k matching, paid leave, and competitive wages, are all a part of the Yeh employment package.
