    Description
    Duties * Provides materiel management oversight, policy and continuity.

    * Represents the 11th AAC at senior level meetings, brigade maintenance meetings, conferences, work groups, and other professional meetings as it relates to maintenance management, planning, and readiness of all USARAK units.

    * Serves as a principle unit point of contact for all matters related to maintenance readiness, maintenance policy and procedures.

    * Conducts special studies, prepares reports, and investigates trends related to maintenance problems and causes for unusual down time.

    * Monitors and evaluates Unit Status Reports (USR) to ensure accurate equipment readiness (ER) data is used; determines if discrepancies exist and directs units to make corrections as necessary.

    * Monitors the units and subordinate commands' implementation of DA and command programs, policies, and directives.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * Temporary duty travel (TDY) under Field Duty is required up to 5%. * Incumbent must possess or obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (T3).

One year of specialized experience includes providing equipment readiness oversight, monitoring maintenance and materiel management operations, and utilizing Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) to analyze tactical level maintenance posture. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

    or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
    Logistics, Transportation, Supply Management.

    OR Combination of Education and Experience:

    A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

    To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

    Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.

    Add the two percentages.

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    • Maintenance Planning and Management
    • Oral Communication
    • Planning and Evaluating Time in

    Grade Requirement:
    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09)


    Education FOREIGN EDUCATION:

    If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S.
