    This role is integral to ensuring the financial health of the plant through robust asset management, balance sheet integrity, and a rigorous internal control environment.

    Partnering closely with the Plant Manager, you will drive financial and operational improvements across the board, fostering a culture of cost reduction and financial accountability.

    Focus:


    Oversee all plant accounting operations including the management of financial systems and budgets, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial reporting.

    Maintain balance sheet integrity, enforce internal controls, and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
    Collaborate with corporate accounting to initiate control and efficiency improvements, creating a more robust monitoring environment.
    Lead the month-end close process and be responsible for the plant's financial statements.
    Develop and manage the annual budget process and conduct regular forecast updates to guide financial planning.
    Analyze operational results, assess financial impacts, identify variances, and spearhead cost reduction strategies.
    Manage capital investment processes including the formulation of business cases and financial justification.

    Serve as a financial partner to the Plant Manager, delivering crucial reports and analyses to aid in decision-making and operational improvements.

    Lead, mentor, and develop a team comprising Assistant Controllers, Cost Accountants, Production Clerks, and Plant Buyers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.


    Skill Set:
    A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
    An MBA or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.

    At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing/cost accounting, with a solid track record of financial management within a manufacturing environment.

    Previous leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
    Proficiency in major accounting software and ERP systems, ideally Oracle or similar platforms.
