    Jr. Staff Accountant

    Basic Ready Mix is seeking an ambitious experienced professional to provide support to the financial department and run the Accounts Payable and Receivables for our corporate office in Calhoun, GA.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay Scale: Exempt position based on experience

    Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

    Responsibilities:

    Accounts Receivable

    • Responsible for full cycle Accounts Receivable functions including, but not limited to, creating and maintaining new customer setup, customer billing, managing A/R inbox, cash/check/credit card collections, application, and deposits and record keeping
    • Reconcile key A/R accounts
    • Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries
    • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting
    • Assist with A/R collection calls

    Accounts Payable

    • Responsible for full cycle Accounts Payable functions including, but not limited to, creating and maintaining new vendor setup, managing A/P inbox, invoice posting and payment and record keeping
    • Reconcile key A/P statements
    • Prepare, process, and distribute signed checks
    • Receive, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries
    • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting

    Financial

    • Assist the Accounting team in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements
    • Assist with other accounting projects as needed

    Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
    • Three years' experience in accounting
    • Excellent organizing abilities
    • Great attention to detail
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction software(s)
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
