- Read and interpret blueprints
- Prepare item drawings for approval and fabrication
- Prepare program files for cutting parts on computer controlled equipment
- Maintain the catalog of program files for easy retrieval of the appropriate revision as needed
- Participate in the design/approval process on all custom items
- Create installation plans for use by contractors and installers
- Meet industry standards for quality workmanship on a consistent basis

Job Description*THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN DACULA, GEORGIA*
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the CAD Drafter creates, catalogs, and maintains drawings, programs, and specifications for items produced by CCI or Approved vendors. He or she is responsible for the engineering phase of the order process which includes verification of items ordered against building plans and creating installation plans. The CAD Drafter coordinates with Project Managers to obtain design approval of prepared drawings and field measurements needed during the engineering process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The CAD Drafter is well versed with computer drafting and 3D modeling programs. He or she is competent with common office solution software. Some familiarity with the needs of a manufacturing environment is desired, especially in the wood products industry. The CAD Drafter will have a high school diploma or equivalent and typically holds, at minimum, an Associate's Degree or more in computer aided design or related field.
