Summary

The role of Fleet Maintenance Technician at our company is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicle fleet. As part of the team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing any mechanical or technical issues that arise.

Job Description:

Review daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and carry out necessary repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of various systems on heavy-line commercial vehicles.
Conduct safety inspections and regulatory checks on vehicles and equipment.
Assist in roadside emergency diagnosis and repairs as needed.
Document all repairs and parts used accurately.
Attend safety and compliance training sessions regularly.
Help with clean-up during emergency situations.
Willingness to work flexible shifts to support the maintenance team effectively.
Utilize specialized shop equipment for maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy truck maintenance or related education/certifications.
High School Diploma.
Knowledge of DOT CHP repair processes and vehicle inspection reports.
Familiarity with CNG alternative fuel systems and vehicle air conditioning.
Ability to communicate mechanical issues clearly.
Basic understanding of laptop/Cummins Insite, Allison Transmission Programs.
Strong adherence to safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
Must have personal tools.
Physical fitness to meet job requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
ASE/TIA Tire Certification.
Welder Certification (TIG, MIG, ARC).
Brakes Certification.
CNG alternative fuel Certification.
Commercial Class A/B driver's license with air brake endorsement.

Physical/Environmental Demands:

Physical demands include standing, walking, problem-solving, lifting, etc.
Exposure to various environmental conditions like dust, noise, and chemicals.

Salary Range:
$34.00 per hour
