    GENERAL SUMMARY:


    Responsible for the evaluation, structuring, and preparation of Credit Authorizations of proposed and existing C & I Credit facilities in the amount of $1,000,000 to $25,000,000 primarily in the State of California and adjacent states.

    Position requires an established working knowledge of the technical/analytical aspects of commercial loan underwriting including the evaluation of (i) cash flow, income statement and balance sheet financial analysis, collateral quality, (ii) and the financial analysis of and management capacity of individual and corporate guarantors, and (iii) market/industry trends & risk.

    Assists Relationship Managers as well as Real Estate Division manager in developing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring plans to enhance loan portfolio yield and manage risk consistent with the Bank's underwriting standards.

    The anticipated salary range for this role is between $120,000 and $141,000.

    The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire.

    Some roles will also qualify for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, Manufacturers Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package.


    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Preparation of Pre-Screen reports of prospective borrowers and guarantors.

    Completion of Credit Approval Reports,Prepares complete Credit Approval Reports for submission to Credit Administration, including loan summary, credit analysis of applicant, and applicable backup data.

    Regularly follows up and ensure timely loan closings.
    Manage and maintain loan portfolio and ensure timely modification, extension, renewal, as necessary.
    Develops and maintains good relationships with Relationship Manager, Credit Analyst & Customers.
    Maintains current knowledge of the Bank's loan policies and Risk Rating System.
    Provides assistance and training of junior loan officers within the department in coordination with the department team leader/Regional Manager.
    Performs duties/special projects, as necessary, and other related duties of which the above are representative.

    Education:
    BA/MBA in business, accounting, and/or finance, or equivalent experience

    Experience:
    Thorough knowledge of commercial lending, generally acquired through a minimum of 15 years related experience

    Skills/ Qualifications:
    Knowledge of technical aspects of commercial loan underwriting; Proficient oral and written communication skills.
