    Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled ER Veterinarian to our team.

    Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level one certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a helical 16-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy.

    MVMC has well-staffed departments in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, Rehab and Acupuncture and great team of emergency clinicians and criticalists to offer advanced services to a well-educated client base.

    ER Veterinarian

    Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME

    Eligible for sign-on and relocation bonus, which has the same zing as a hundred pounds of fresh cat nip.


    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of pets; primarily dogs and cats
    • Examine animals to determine the nature of disease or injury and treat animals surgically or medically
    • Communicate with referring veterinarians
    • Advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals
    • Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training as appropriate

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in good standing
    • 2 + years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in an emergency setting is preferred
    • Completion of a rotating or emergency internship is also preferred
    • Ability to attain Maine Veterinary License
