Job summary
Our Sr Operations Managers responsible for all budgetary people development and operations objectives The Sr Operations Managers is responsible for all aspects of operation or functions at the site Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center Responsibilities Drives creation of quality initiatives process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed business plan Responsible for the overall safety quality performance customer experience Of either Inbound or Outbound operations Will set clarify requirements expectations for Operations And Area Managers Measures performance provides feedback holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance departments Takes proactive steps ensure that best practices are shared across all departments shifts among network Works closely with support staff HR Finance Facilities Safety IT And other Sr Operations Managers build secure support resources projects initiatives area providing needed support resources staff initiatives Additional Job Elements Lift move totes up pounds each Regular bending lifting stretching reaching below waist above head Walking FC around area with great frequency facilities over quarter mile length Continual standing walking average miles daily Ability work construction distribution environments noisy unlit unheated not air-conditioned Able access areas building ascending descending ladders stairs gangways safely limitation Basic Qualifications Work flexible hours business demands overnight weekends holidays Bachelors Degree years Amazon experience Years direct management experience including salaried workforce manufacturing production distribution environment Prior experience Performance metrics process improvement Lean techniques Prior experience full staffing lifecycle interviewing hiring performance management promotions termination Preferred Qualifications Degree Engineering Operations related field MBA preferred Experience contingent workforce peak seasons Ability handle changing priorities use good judgment stressful situations Interest long-term career development assignments multiple FCs nation
