Company DescriptionJob DescriptionIngram Barge is seeking an experienced Welder for our team at Capital Fleet in Port Allen, LA.This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram's fleet of barges.

We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting What you will be doing:

Welding/Cutting/Fitting of barge repairsTopside repairsReplacing rigging wires & equipmentInspecting and pumping bargesPerforming barge readiness checksRoutine dock clean-up & housekeepingOther duties as requestedQualificationsWhat we are looking for:Demonstrating the Ingram WayUpholding Ingram's high safety standardsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrating critical thinking and decision-making skillsDemonstrating teamwork and acceptance of diversityStrong communication skills with all levels within the organization At least (2) years of barge repair experience - welding certification a plusExperience with tank barges is a plusCandidates must:Possess a High School Diploma or GEDPossess a valid driver's licenseDisplay excellent communication skillsPass a welding /fitting competency testCan walk and lift for extended periodsCan carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basisMust be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirementsAdditional InformationPerks/Benefits:A highly competitive compensation package with generous benefits beginning first day of employment for Medical/Prescription Drug plans, HSA, Vision, Dental and Health Care FSA.15 vacation days & 12 sick days accrued annually401K match, Life and AD&D, Employee Assistant programs, Group Legal, & moreEncouraged continued education with our tuition reimbursement programAnnual performance-based merit opportunityAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
