    Description
    Genesis10 is currently seeking an Associate Developer - Java with our client in the transportation industry in their Atlanta, GA location. This is a 6 month + contract position.

    Description:
    • Seeking an Associate Developer - Java
    • Our client is on a journey to becoming the best IT organization in the airline industry, a journey of transformation.     Responsibilities:
    • Lead the technical scrum team and implement hands-on the front ends associated with the technical designs for product/project teams
    • Lead technical efforts in the scrum team, including in the creation of quality in our delivery
    • Ensure the team develops with quality measuring via clean pipelines, and 90%+ coverage
    • Mentor and elevate your teammates to be stronger engineers by staying ahead with technology evolution and educating the team
    • Transform business requirements into application architectures
    • Determine feasibility and scalability of front-end solutions, interacting with business and product owners in order to define technical solutions for customer problems
    • Production issue triage, management, and prevention as needed
    • UI Design reviews for feasibility, tech design, and impact analysis
    • Develop sustainable, accessibility compliant solutions
    • Long term technical debt resolutions, debt prevention and code reviews
    • Analyze and implement Performance/Stability/Reliability/Architecture initiatives
    • Research and develop POCs and innovative new ideas for customer interactions with client
    • Assist in defining alternate solutions for the business problems and providing estimates for potential new workstreams
    • Create a learning culture by establishing, sharing, and enforcing best practices and lessons learned

    Requirements:
    • 5+ years of overall experience in Java and API Development
    • 2+ years' experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Protractor)
    • Extensive experience implementing API's (REST) via microservices
    • Experience using various design patterns preferably MVC, Singleton, Facade and Factory
    • Proficient in OOD and Implementation, Design Patterns
    • Solid understanding of web/mobile application architecture and security (OAuth, JWT, Spring Security)
    • Experience working in GIT, Hibernate, JBOSS, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, UML, JUnit, Mockito, Wire Mock , and REST APIs
    • Hands-on UI development experience utilizing Responsive Design
    • Proficient in Bootstrap or Foundation frameworks
    • Proficient in OOD and Implementation, Design Patterns (MVVM, etc.)
    • Diverse experience utilizing Java tools in business, Web and client-server environments including Java Platform, J2EE, JDBC technologies and Apigee gateway platform
    • Experience or exposure to Database Design and Implementation
    • Knowledge of Multi-tier Architecture, Rational/Visio modeling

    Desired Skills:
    • Experience in other Backend programming languages like Python, , Golang
