    job summary:

    Our client north of Boston is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team Candidates must come equipped with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, and at least 2 years of experience with quality in a manufacturing environment related to metals, chemical properties, and specialized finishes.

    Candidates should also have hands-on measurement experience using different gauges and tools.

    NORTH BILLERICA, Massachusetts job type: Permanent salary: $75, ,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Provide assistance in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS).Conduct audits on processes and products.

    Execute first piece inspection tasks.
    Assist in incoming inspection processes and liaise with suppliers regarding SCARS (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) and other concerns.
    Collaborate with engineers to ensure quality assurance for new products and the development of procedures and quality standards.
    Develop and revise PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans as needed.
    Aid in resolving customer quality issues.
    Investigate nonconformance reports and coordinate corrective/preventive actions.
    Conduct internal audits and mentor process owners for improvement.
    Participate in teams dedicated to improving safety, quality, or cost.
    Gather and analyze internal/external quality data and generate reports.
    Perform additional duties as assigned to support the enhancement of quality systems and operational efficiency.
