    General description

    The Comptroller's office is seeking a Program Specialist III-IV in the Fiscal Management Division/Statewide Fiscal Oversight. The work involves research on travel, purchase, and procurement policies and procedures.

    Qualifications Qualifications - External

    Program Specialist III Salary Range($4, $4,400.00)Program Specialist IV Salary Range($4, $5,250.00)

    Minimum Qualifications

    Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of the General Education Development test (GED).


    •Two years of experience with any of the following: accounting and/or processing, overseeing accounts payable, purchase, travel transactions, analyzing and adhering to legislative or technical policies/programs.


    •Two years of customer service experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's Business or a Business-related degree (e.g., Finance, Accounting, and Economics), Public Communications or Government

    Preferred Experience:

    ·Classroom training experience and/or experience with developing training content.

    ·Experience using Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) and or Texas Identification Number System (TINS).

    ·Experience with accounting and/or processing or overseeing accounts payable, purchase or travel transactions at a state agency or state institution of higher education.

    LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

    Preferred Certification - Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM), Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD), and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

    In this role you will have:
