About the role

As Social Media Marketing Manager, you will oversee daily social operations and IP promotions of Crunchyroll's English social media network -- Crunchyroll's social media footprint is one of the entertainment industry's largest, with over 150 million followers worldwide across every major platform, with growth beyond industry standards. You will support audience growth and engagement, and you will assist with the operationalization of strategic campaigns and initiatives. You will work with departments including brand management, editorial and multimedia, public relations, and more to deliver positive outcomes, though not at the expense of maintaining a meaningful relationship with the audience. You may need to monitor social channels on nights and weekends on occasion.

• You will lead regional content development and content creation across channels, including collaboration with internal Creative Services teams and external agencies.
  • Guide creative direction and improve content performance based on channel and audience insights
• You will ensure that campaigns, content, daily tasks, and requests from teams align with Audience Development goals while taking into account prioritization and changing needs.
• You will oversee and train a team of social media coordinators, maximizing their skills and dedicating meaningful time to developing their talent, which includes optimizing processes and best practices.
• You will develop a voice for each brand while strategizing across channels through regular experimentation, research, and professional development.
• You are an internal subject-matter expert for digital anime communities and assist regional social media leads in gaining access to content, insights, and data from HQ.
• You will support communications between title marketing, brand management, and content operations to ensure impactful content launches via organic social marketing tactics.
• You will help build a GTM social media strategy for new businesses for the English-speaking markets, including music, manga, and theatrical.
• You contribute to analytics-based social media metrics reporting.
• You can stay up-to-date on social media trends, new platforms, content types, and insights from the anime and adjacent communities.

In the role of Social Media Marketing Manager, you will report to the Director, Global Social Media. We are considering applicants for the locations of San Francisco, Culver City, or Dallas.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

• 5-7 years of experience in social media or community marketing, with a preference for entertainment, media, or adjacent industries.
• 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ direct reports.
• Demonstrated understanding of major social media platforms and best practices on how to tailor content by platform and what kind of content works best to meet specific marketing goals.
• Experience leading successful and creative social media campaigns for global corporate brands.
• Utilize analytics to increase growth and develop an impactful content strategy.
• Interpret and follow brand guidelines precisely.
• Follow internet culture and trends in content and storytelling.
• Knowledge of the anime industry, history of anime internet culture, or active participation in the anime or adjacent fandom communities.

Pluses:

• Experience with E-commerce social media management
• Paid Social campaign management experience with upper-funnel awareness

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll's Total Rewards offerings for employees.
