A nationally respected Am Law firm is seeking a 4–6 year Finance - General Attorney to join its Private Credit practice in New York. This Finance Associate Attorney role focuses on representing private credit funds, business development companies, banks, financial institutions, and CLOs in complex lending transactions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Associate Attorney, you will:

• Represent private credit funds, BDCs, banks, financial institutions, and CLOs in direct lending transactions

• Advise clients on complex capital structures across the capital stack

• Assist with lower-middle market through large-cap lending transactions

• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, and related financing instruments

• Analyze sophisticated financial structures and deliver strategic, business-focused solutions

• Collaborate with deal teams to ensure efficient transaction execution

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of lending experience at a law firm

• Experience handling sophisticated, high-end lending matters

• Strong familiarity with private credit and direct lending transactions

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

• Admission to the New York State Bar (NY Bar required)
