Durable Medical Equipment Delivery and Installation Specialist

Salary: $18-$21 per hour

Job Summary

The primary objective of this position is to deliver and install durable medical equipment (DME) and related home care supplies to veteran homes with professionalism, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review work orders and plan delivery routes effectively.
• Coordinate with veterans to schedule delivery and pick-up of DME and supplies via phone calls.
• Locate products within the warehouse, load the vehicle, and ensure secure transportation of equipment.
• Transport DME and supplies to designated locations using a company vehicle.
• Assemble and install DME at veteran homes, providing orientation and instruction on proper use.
• Perform follow-up servicing and minor repairs as necessary.
• Pick up, unload, and disassemble returned equipment at the warehouse.
• Document tasks, including obtaining signatures from veterans upon delivery, completing driver logs, and pre-trip/post-trip checklists.

Marginal Responsibilities:

• Assist warehouse personnel as needed.
• Contribute to cleaning the warehouse and other areas.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience.

Experience:

• Prior DME delivery experience is preferred.
• Construction and assembly experience with electrical equipment is mandatory.
• 1-2 Years of low-voltage electrical experience are required.

Special Requirements:

• This role involves travel to patient homes and meeting locations.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record are essential.
