    Northrop Grumman has an opening for a well-qualified Windows Systems Administrator to join our qualified, diverse and dynamic team of technical professionals.

    This position is located in the Palmdale, CA area.

    The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Palmdale, CA campus.

    The individual will perform the following duties on a day-to-day basis in support of the program:

    Take ownership of assigned tasks/projects and ensure completion in accordance with identified task requirements.

    Create, maintain, and update documentation for assigned systems.

    Install/patch Windows releases as well as configure, upgrade, patch, and secure servers.

    Back-up, retrieve, maintain, and migrate Windows based programs and data.

    Monitor systems and validate the integrity/accessibility of all server resources, hardware, systems, and key processes.

    Carry out hardware upgrades, performance tuning, and resource optimization whenever required.

    Utilizing scripting such as Powershell to complete tasks and automate processes as needed.

    May need to coordinate third-party maintenance of assigned equipment.

    Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.


    Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and support on call status as needed.


    Basic Qualifications:


    Associate's degree and 3 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 1 years of experience; 5 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree.


    IAT Level II certification (ex:
    Security+ CE) or greater

    Current DoD Secret Clearance

    Ability to obtain and maintain clearance to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment

    Experience with Windows-based operating systems and Windows server architecture

    Experience with scripting in PowerShell


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in IS/IT related field

    Current DoD Top Secret Clearance

    Microsoft MCSA or equivalent certifications

    DISA STIGs knowledge and/or implementation experience

    Experience with Cisco and Dell server hardware

    Salary Range:
    $65,600 - $98,400


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

    In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
