    KeenLogic is seeking to hire a

    Network Engineer

    for the Center of Disease Control. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience.

    The candidate will understand fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to network administration, knowledge of network related hardware and software and basic understanding of security issues and implications to network solutions.

    This is a full-time position offering Fortune 500-level benefits, PTO, 401k, Life Insurance, and monthly reimbursement for travel. This position is onsite Monday through Friday, supporting customers in Pittsburgh and at the WVU Morgantown Campus.
    Job DescriptionMonitors enterprise networks to ensure availability to all usersCoordinate with multiple vendors/departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and servicesInvestigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issuesEvaluates, tests, recommends, and implements specific network solutionsSchedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/softwareIdentifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems of limited scope and complexityAlerts more experienced engineers of network failures and assists in performing corrective actionsEmploys basic understanding of network administration as it relates to daily business operationsExperienceTypically requires 5-7 years relevant experienceSkills OverviewUnderstands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to network administrationBasic knowledge of network performance and troubleshooting techniquesBasic knowledge of network related hardware and softwareUnderstands basic concepts of network administrationBasic understanding of security issues and implications to network solutionsTechnical Skills (Required)Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, Span-Tree, Multicast, TCP/IPv4, TCP/IPv6, NetBIOS, DHCP, DNS, HSRP, GLBP, SNMP, LAN/MAN/WAN technologies to include, T1, Fast Ethernet, GigE, 10Gb, 40Gb, Fiber Optics, T3, CSU/DSU, MPLS, Optical Carrier technology, SONET, ATM, ISDNWorking knowledge of Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco Firewall (FWSM, ASA), F5 Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, Probe Machines, Network Sniffer, Decode Sniffer Packets, Radius, TACACS+, QOS, VPN, Wireless, Cisco PrimeMicrosoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access, and VisioExcellent written and verbal skillsNice to Have(s)Experience as a level 2 administrator in a NOC or SOC environment with experience in break/fix and issue resolution related to enterprise network connectivity and performance
