    Reports To:
    Chief Executive Officer

    Location:
    Bellingham, WA or Waynesboro, TN

    Workdays:
    Monday – Friday

    Work Hours:
    6:30 am – 6:00 pm (8 hours per day – Flexible)

    Position Summary
    The Accounting Lead will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.

    Supervisory Responsibilities
    Lead the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
    Conduct performance evaluations for accounting staff and support recruiting and hiring efforts when needed.
    Coordinate training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
    Duties/Responsibilities
    Adhere and lead to Seeking Health's Core Values.
    Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
    Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

    Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

    Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.

    Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.

    Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
    Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
    Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
    Adhere to other duties as assigned.

    Skills/Abilities
    Excellent management and supervisory skills required.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
    Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software required.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software required.
    NetSuite, Power BI and eCommerce skills preferred.
    Education and Experience
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
    Eight years or more of related experience required.
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) strongly preferred.

    If not currently certified, all certification requirements must be acquired within 12 months of hire date. Seeking Health will pay for study material and exam fees.
