    POSITION/TITLE:Production

    Manager




    REPORTS TO:
    General Manager




    POSITION SUMMARY:

    High precision tooling and machining services company seeks a Production Manager to help manage continued growth. Responsibilities include supervision of production operations and ensuring quality execution of each job consistent with established standards. Ability to manage and foster a team environment will be a key component to the success of this role.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage and monitor all aspects of production in an efficient manner:
    • Develop and manage the production schedule for efficient utilization
    • Direct and lead all production personnel toward successful completion of projects
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry by all production personnel
    Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure product quality and timely delivery

    Managing communication of production status with shop and customers

    Recommend equipment purchases to address bottlenecks and take advantage of new technology- Work with production personnel to ensure optimal performance of equipment

    Arrange for shop personnel to get necessary training updates

    Assist sales personnel with estimating lead times

    Conduct performance reviews and complete performance and skills competency reports

    Assist in management of the quality management system- Focus on high customer satisfaction in accordance with quality objectives
    Work to continuously improve quality management system
    Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards

    Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Management, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Engineering; or, a minimum of 10 years machining and leadership experience
    Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
    This position requires that the person be well organized, self-motivated individual who can manage multiple tasks and priorities

    Excellent Communication Skills
    Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
