Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Intake and Managed Care Associate to join our Lobby team at El Nuevo San Juan Health Center. The Intake and Managed Care Associate will complete all admission paperwork, administer screenings and or questionnaires to assure patient is provided with resources available to support overall health outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with clerical/administrative functions is required, ideally in a health care setting.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
- Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Gather patients' personal, medical and insurance information to input in the EMR
- Verifies with managed care organizations to determine patients insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Obtains effective Update/Change incorrect health insurance plans to reflect current PCP and rendering for both new and established
- Provides support with registration, sliding fee discount schedule program, insurance verification.
- Administer health questionnaire/assessment to initiate primary health care services

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule: Applicants must be comfortable working onsite, based out of the Bronx and have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:30pm.
