    5.0.

    * $1,250 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
    * $1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of Meets Expectations.
    * $2,000 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of Meets Expectations.


    The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking to hire a candidate who has two (2) years or more Registered Nurse (RN) and direct supervision experience to join the Skillquest Program in the Developmental Services Division.


    Duties:

    • As an RN working for Developmental Services at the direction of the Clinical Services Administrator the staff person may be responsible for the biological, psychological, and social assessment of clients.
    • Use all aspects of the nursing process to facilitate the health care objectives of the Individual Program Plan (IPP).
    • Collaborate with members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and other health care professionals in the community to ensure objectives of the IPP are being met as well as the welfare, health, and safety of the individuals we serve.
    • Provide technical support, teaching, and training to non-licensed staff regarding health care services and medication administration.
    • At the direction of the Clinical Services Administrator, the RN may supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNS) completing performance evaluations, competencies, and training for licensed staff.
    • Complete quality assurance reviews of client records specific to the healthcare needs and management of the individual.
    • Communicate in an effective, respectful, professional manner using methods easily understood by all parties involved.
    • Participate in training's, meetings and participate in community engagements to further support the individuals served.
    • Establish work schedules, monitor, and approve LPN leave requests and report to the Clinical Services Administrator on the use of overtime.
    • Maintain all current licenses, certifications and competencies that are required to perform the tasks associated with this position including but not limited to: Nursing License, CPR, Defensive Driving, and TOVA.
