    Job Purpose


    Role Description:
    Steel Department is responsible for the management of the Honda Raw material Supply System for Steel products.


    HTA SAP Pricing Specialist leads the coordination, monitoring and improvement activity related to SAP Pricing, quoting and price data structure/management functions.

    SAP is a highly integrated system with many pricing data interdependencies.

    Data mistakes can lead to material financial errors as well as potential supply interruption.


    Due to this, Pricing Management has become a centralized and highly controlled function for the entire North American Steel organization which includes 7 offices in Ohio, Indiana, Alabama, South Carolina, Canada, Celaya, Mexico and Guadalajara, Mexico.


    This Pricing impacts purchase and sale of product as well as eQuote update for all North American Stamping and Forging suppliers that sell Honda $7B in product.

    Key Accountabilities


    Responsibilities include:


    SAP Pricing Lead will be responsible for leading and ensuring the 600,000 data elements necessary to price and cost $2.1 Billion of steel products is entered accurately and timely 4x per year for all 7 North American offices.

    Update selling and costing for all new mass production part setup daily

    Work with HTA North American Purchasing lead to develop a schedule, establish and communicate pricing project plans related to planning for upcoming pricing events (quarterly stainless and bar pricing, annual carbon sheet pricing, new model events, build out items) for all 7 North American offices, and ensure timely execution.


    Continuous Improvement:
    Find and build efficiencies in pricing management, software usage, and reporting related to pricing and general data.

    Associate will be responsible for re-build of North American steel pricing system.

    Communication to Management:

    Keep management informed of all potential problems or personnel concerns; develop one-page scenarios to present ideas and keep individuals and groups abreast of information.


    Communication to Associates:
    Lead the communication and training structure to associates on all teams that are impacted by pricing.
    Evaluate profitability at month end, ensuring accuracy of system calculations

    Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

    Required Experience
    3 years of buyer level exposure to Honda's raw material supply chain management
    3 years of experience with and understanding of Raw Material Pricing and cost at Honda
    Understanding of SAP pricing data structure and pricing management
    Knowledge of manufacturing process, applications and logistics surrounding steel sheet.
    Ability to independently explain RMSS principles and strategies
    Required Education
    BA/BS in Business or equivalent work experience (required).

    Establish a plan of action for entering pricing during times of anticipated high volume
    Work to improve SAP pricing functionality to create an efficient pricing/quoting process
    Understand and communicate deadlines to ensure timely pricing input into SAP
    Work to ensure efficient flow of pricing data in and out of SAP for all 7 North American Steel offices
