    Description

    Job Title: MRI Technologist at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos

    The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing complex and specialized procedures independently using a variety of imaging equipment and computers. Some of the responsibilities include providing MRI screening, participating in QA, and ensuring MRI safety. The technologist must have the ability to make quick technical decisions and stay updated with MR education and technical advances. Good behavior and communication skills are essential to align with the organization's mission and values.

    CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos, established in 1923, is a leading healthcare provider with a dedicated team of over 700 Associates and 300 physicians. The hospital offers a wide range of services and has been recognized as the Best Hospital in Hays County for more than 20 years. Services include interventional cardiac care, Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery, and specialty care services such as medical imaging, rehabilitation, and women's services.

    Responsibilities:


    - Meets OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.

    - Performs complex diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art MRI imaging equipment.

    - Assists Radiologist in invasive procedures and biopsies.

    - Programs computers to store scan data accurately.

    - Prioritizes patient care and maintains high standards of patient care.

    - Ensures proper coding of charges and billing.

    - Adapts care methods to accommodate patients' needs.

    - Ensures compliance with all policies and standards.

    - Protects patient confidentiality.

    - Basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills required.

    - Excellent customer service skills.

    - Adherence to Core values of Christus Health.

    - Performs assigned duties.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology school required
    • ARRT, RT (R), or other qualified Registries per scope of practice.
    • Minimum of one year experience in a clinical setting preferred
    • Three years' experience in imaging setting highly preferred
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
    • Current state Licensure required
    • Current BLS certification required
