Employee Health Assistant/Mask Fit Tester - Brawley, United States - PMHD

Brief Summary: The Employee Heath Assistant will assist The employee Health Nurse with vaccination programs, including annual influenza campaign and COVID vaccines, annual tb screening programs and help maintain employee health files. Additionally, This role will fit N95 respirators to staff who are at risk to exposure to known airborne or unknown pathogens and/or hazardous materials.

Essential Functions:

1. Operation of PortaCount Plus.
2. Train employee on the selection and use of the N-95 Respirator.
3. Fit test employees to determine if the respirator fits properly on the employee's face.
4. Documentation of fit test and training of employees to be sent to Human Resources.
5. Coordinate fit test schedule with Human Resources.
6. Ensure proper fit testing procedure followed (29 CFR

Other Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that the PortaCount is working properly by performing maintenance checks as needed.
2. Perform clerical duties as needed by Employee Health Nurse.
3. Data entry and reporting to various regulatory agencies, such as CAIR (California Immunization Registry).
4. Assists with vaccination programs, including annual influenza campaign and COVID vaccines
5. Help maintain employee health files
6. Assists with annual tb screening programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Required:

Ability to follow and give written and oral instructions. Must have ability to learn job functions outlined in the job description.

To obtain certification for Fit testing within six months of hire date.

Licenses and Certifications:

1. Medical Assistant Certification
2. Maintain current CPR certification.
