About the Opportunity
We're looking for individuals who currently live in Northeastern Massachusetts (Essex County) or Southern New Hampshire and are interested in a long-term career with a growing regional company. We are currently searching for people with one to three years of previous technical/mechanical hands-on field experience in an industrial/mechanical environment. If you like to use your hands and want to stay with a company for longer than two years, this job may be for you.
As a Technical Field Representative, you will be an important member of the Field Service team. Your primary role will be the servicing and retaining of existing customers in the Northeastern area of Massachusetts and Southern area of New Hampshire.
In the course of a workday, you will travel to customer sites within the area and inspect and repair water treatment equipment (chemical metering pumps, feed controllers, etc), analyze water samples, suggest solutions to water quality issues and work in the industrial/mechanical environment of steam boilers, cooling towers, and other related mechanical equipment. This is a home based remote role. NO overnight travel is required.
Qualifications
- Have a personality that likes to interact with people and likes to be of service to customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous comprehensive report generation skills a plus.
- Mechanically inclined and likes to use tools and work with your hands.
- Projects a professional and polished image that portrays confidence and trust.
- Is organized and self-driven to work independently.
- Able to lift 50 lbs up 3 flights of stairs on a daily basis.
- Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
- Comfortable working in environments that are boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, and industrial process areas that may be hot and loud.
- Comfortable utilizing required Personal Protection Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc).
- Prefer at least a 4-year degree in science (chemistry, biology, environmental) or engineering (mechanical, chemical, industrial, electrical) OR equivalent hands-on industry experience. US Navy or Maritime background a plus.
- Current Pesticide applicators license a plus
- MUST currently reside in the area of Northeastern Massachusetts and be a US citizen. We DO NOT RELOCATE candidates.
- This is a traveling job so you should like to drive short and long distances to customer sites. MUST have a very clean driving record.
- MUST be a United States Citizen.
