    Are you looking for a career? Room for advancement? Do you have experience with maintenance, painting, drywall, handyman? AAMCI is excited to hire a Maintenance Technician for our 199-unit multi-family property located in Knoxville, TN.

    Full time Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. $17.50 per hour - Emergency On-call premium

    The community is an affordable housing community with Project Based Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.

    This position participates in on-call emergency rotation for evening, weekends, and holidays, and pays a premium rate of pay for each call out.

    AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certifications.

    Required skills set needed are basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, turn-key and overall general maintenance.

    Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Units turns to achieve rent-ready status within 3 - 5 days of vacancy
    • Complete daily work orders
    • Complete preventive maintenance
    • Painting, plumbing and electrical
    • Drywall repair
    • Maintain and clean property grounds
    • Assist with apartment inspections
    • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, work orders, inspections, and inventories

    Qualifications necessary for success:

    • Valid driver's license
    • Experience with hand tools
    • Painting
    • Electrical
    • Plumbing
    • Drywall repair
    • Reliable transportation
